Are not you tired of just dipping the food in ketchup? Let’s make that better for you!
Use the same ketchup to cook this sweet and spicy BBQ dip and extract more flavors out of your food, you ketchup-monster!
Preparation time – 5 minutes
Cooking time – 20 minutes
Makes 1½ cups of sauce
Main ingredients –
1 cup tomato ketchup
½ cup water
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
2 tsp honey
1 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp finely crushed garlic
- In a medium-sized saucepan, mix all the ingredients (except garlic) and stir well.
- Put the pan on flame and cook until it starts boiling.
- Once it starts boiling, add crushed garlic and continue cooking on low flame for 15-20 minutes.
- One the sauce thickens and attains a perfect consistency, turn off the flame and cool completely.
Adjust the sweetness by the content of honey and same for chilli powder if you want to spice it up 😉
